Stop the drama; Start a new life

This book changed my perspective on every social interaction I’ve had since. I feel like I cannot unsee what it showed me! Every one can benefit from reading this e-book, “Stop Being a Victim! The Secret to Inner Happiness” by Sharon Stewart. It’s affordable, short and life-changing. I highly recommend!

I wish I could buy this in print. It is definitely worthy of the home library. Here are some excerpts that really resonated with me:

Spill the tea, not the infusion

I was recently introduced to the work of Susun Weed and her Wise Woman Way. She is a Green Witch and teaches about green blessings from her green heart!

She is a simpler- using only one herb at a time. She teaches people how to make nourishing herbal infusions from nettles, red clover, oatstraw, comfrey and linden. Infusions are different from just herbal tea in that they can provide richer benefits.

For tea you use a teaspoon of the herb per 8 oz and steep a few minutes. In contrast, an infusion uses 1 oz of your chosen herb per quart and steep 4-10hrs.

I had been making chilled unsweetened herbal tea on the daily since it’s been so hot. Now I’m drinking nourishing herbal infusions to impart greater benefits from our plant allies!

Susun offers free courses and videos on how to build your immune system so that you only have a mild case of the flu when you get it.

New perspectives on Drugs!

Two episodes of the podcast: The Reason Interview with Nick Gillespie

Carl Hart: Drug Use for Grown-Ups, Jan 30, 2021

This podcast definitely made me think. Carl is challenging our perceptions of who drug users are and what the war on drugs is about. He doesn’t think there should be a hierarchy of drugs where prescriptions, nicotine, cannabis and even psychedelics are accepted over others like heroin. He argues that a person either uses drugs responsibly or not. It’s not about demonizing the drug of choice. If you aren’t handling your responsibilities, then you’re immature, with or without the use of drugs.
